Nicholas Kirke – Managing Director
A medical scientist who launched his career in Brisbane, Australia, Nick moved to London where he worked and studied at the Royal Post Graduate Medical School. Upon returning to Brisbane, he was appointed as a Senior Medical Scientist with Sullivan Nicolaides Private Pathology Group prior to being offered and accepting a Senior Management role with Queensland Medical Laboratory (QML).
In 1981 fascinated by the challenges of business life, Mr. Kirke developed a furniture conglomerate which included Borsellino’s Fine Furniture in Brisbane, Queensland, the Jepara Fine Furniture Company in Jepara, Indonesia and the iconic Brisbane based Bell Brothers Fine Furniture Company.
In 1995, exploring opportunities abroad, he co-founded Asia Pacific Pathology Inc., (APPI) in the Philippines, where he was founding President and Chief Executive Officer. Awarded Preferred Investor and Pioneer Enterprise status in that country, he is still the only foreigner to have been granted a license to establish, build, own and operate a 100 percent-foreign-owned, integrated, health-care company in the Philippines. He conceived, designed, developed and built the Corporation’s medical, pathology, radiology and dental units. Among his many clients were Intel Philippines (8,000 employees), Procter and Gamble, Philip Morris, and three major international schools. In 2001 and the 2003 he was the recipient of the ANZCHAM (Australian New Zealand Chamber of Commerce) and ANZ Bank Business Awards in the Philippines.
In 2004 as Chair of QPhil Consulting he successfully launched the Magic Millions Sales Organization Australia, Neotonus Inc USA and the Trade and International Operations Division of the Premier’s Department (Queensland) with respect to the Mining Industry into the Philippines.
Nick is the former Vice President of the Australian Filipino Chamber of Commerce Queensland Inc., and currently is the Honorary Ambassador to the Philippines for the City of Ipswich, Queensland, the International Director (Philippines) of The Australian Technical College, North Brisbane, the Vice - President of the Australian Papua New Guinea Association Inc., the Managing Director of the Global Skills Group Pty Ltd and private equity firm Ausreach Australia Pty Ltd.
Lorenzo Boccabella – Director and Migration Specialist

Lorenzo Boccabella was admitted in 1980 and practices also in NSW & Vic. He is also a registered mediator and case appraiser of the Queensland Supreme Court. Lorenzo is a Barrister-at-law, who is in private practice at Level 19, Inns of Court, 107 North Quay, Brisbane, Queensland, 4005 AUSTRALIA.
Lorenzo’s principal area of practice is administrative law with a sub-specialty of migration law. He has appeared in every court and tribunal in Australia which deals with migration matters including the High Court & Federal Court and in criminal matters involving migration law in the Magistrates Court. He also publishes a journal called ‘Migration Law & Practice’. The Federal Government amendment to the migration regulations were consistent with submissions made by Lorenzo in his successful appeal to the Full Federal Court. This overturned a long standing and incorrect interpretation of the visa provisions.
Other areas of practice include arbitration and mediation, industrial law, disciplinary matters (including representing lawyers, doctors, engineers and other practitioners in disciplinary hearings), Federal law generally, international trade law & intellectual property.

George is the Founding Principal and Managing Partner of GCY Accountants. His qualifications include being a Bachelor of Commerce (graduated 1983), Associate with Australian Society of Accountants, Certified Practicing Accountant, Fellow with Taxation Institute of Australia and Registered Tax Agent pursuant to the Income Tax Assessment Act. He has extensive experience in taxation, accounting and audits. Prior to founding GCY Accountants in 1989, George was an assessor and auditor with the Australian Taxation Office for six years prior to entering private practice.
Today, GCY Accountants boasts a client base in excess of 1,400 ranging from private individuals, private companies, superannuation funds, partnerships, trusts and publicly listed Corporations. His Company offers a broad range of services including GST matters, tax planning, tax structures, incidental advice with regard to investments and Business development.
Maricar B. Rhodes - Senior Business Development Manager for the Territory of Guam
Maricar Rhodes was born and educated in Manila, earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree at the prestigious De La Salle University. Her versatility and intellectual curiosity led her to test her management skills and entrepreneurship in the United States, Guam, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Cambodia and Thailand.
A dynamic, recognized and commended executive, Maricar is skilled in the set-up and development of new businesses. She has an outstanding success in planning, organizing, implementing and managing corporate promotional launches, and ad hoc events. She has an extensive and successful experience in retail, corporate and institutional sales. Maricar is also a highly trained motivator and customer service professional. Now based in Manila, she is a Knowledge Management (KM) Research and Managing Advisor for a foreign-based consultancy firm and the Corporate Head for Business Research and Product Development of a food and beverage importation and distribution company.
